Following on from my success at the MPA in August, I learned today that the Britsh Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) has also awarded me an Associateship in wedding photography. The ‘normal’ professional qualification is a Licentiateship which denotes that photographers have an established level of skill and competence. The Associateship qualification is aimed at the top 10% of photographers whose work shows style, individuality and a high standard of craftmanship and creative ability.

Gary Awarded BIPP Associateship
I was delighted to hear today that I have been shortlisted for the 2009 National Photographic Awards (British Institute of Professional Photography – BIPP). This image of Rebecca and Andy is a finalist in the Contemporary Wedding Category.
Yesterday I attended the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) regional awards – and was delighted to win the best Classical Wedding print with the image below taken at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond. International Judge Ray Lowe said “this wedding photograph has inspirational creativity
so rarely seen in today’s work”. The second image below – shot at Cain Manor, Surrey – also received a Merit award in the Contemporary Wedding category.
